John DeMund
John DeMund is a longtime believer in God whose spiritual journey began more than fifty years ago.From the beginning, John has loved and studied the Bible because it has answered many of his questions about life and has given him hope. God has transformed his life through the power of Scripture. John believes that the Bible reveals Jesus Christ as the Author of his faith and Lord of his life.
He views himself as a work inprogress, continually shaped by God through biblical revelation and theinner working of God’s Spirit. John also believes that Jesus has called him not only to understand the Bible but also to teach it to others.A graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary and West Virginia University, John serves as pastor and teacher of NorthCoast BibleChurch, where he faithfully teaches God’s Word. John emphasizes that because God loves His people, He desires them to walk with Him and understand the entire Bible. John teaches that anyonewho is born again can understand Scripture, regardless of age, race, education, ability, or background. His teaching highlights the spirit of the Scripture,“for the Spirit gives life.” John believes that knowing the Bible is essential to knowing God and sharing His life. John has been married to his wife, Nancy, for sixty-eight years. They currently live in Akron, Ohio.
